Where is the Beautiful Grace Bay Beach?
Grace Bay is on the north shore in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Many will claim that Grace Bay is twelve miles long. Grace Bay Beach actually stretches a little over three miles long.
Leeward Beach starts where Grace Bay ends. If walking is not a problem, then take a stroll along the beaches of Grace Bay down to Leeward Beach. The walk is a bit long but the picture perfect views will surpass the long walk.
White Sandy Beaches and Turquoise Clear Water
My husband and I are beach people. Both of us thrive on sand between our toes and the sandy waters of the ocean. We have visited many other Caribbean Islands. Yet, we have never seen a place like this. We imagine that perhaps the closest any beach could get to Grace Bay are the beaches in Bora Bora.
According to many couples we have met along the way, there is only one difference between the two. That difference – the depth of the water. We have never visited Bora Bora but we loved hearing that. Isn’t it cool to know that the beaches of Grace Bay and Bora Bora only bear once difference in the eyes of so many.
Trip Advisor ranked the beaches of Grace Bay as the number two beache in the world. Wow! Think of all the people in the world voting and of all the beaches, Grace Bay got the number two honor. That is pretty amazing if you ask us. Of course, we think the beaches should be number one (but no one asked us).
When we were looking to book our first trip here we thought the photos were photo shopped. I mean, how many times have we all looked at images of beaches on the internet and thought, how beautiful. Then, we get there, only to find beaches that are nice, but nothing like the images on the internet.
We Thought We Stepped Onto A Post Card
The first time we arrived in Turks and Caicos, we put our luggage in the room. We then changed into our swimsuits and ran like children at Christmas to the beach. When we stepped off the boardwalk to the beach it was like time stood still. We will never forget that exact moment.
The palm trees were swaying. The sand was like a white powder feel against our toes. The water was smooth as glass and was a crystal clear turquoise color like we had never seen. It looked as if we could reach out and touch the clouds.
Splish! Splash! We jumped right in! The water was just the right temperature. No matter how far we went out, we could see straight to the bottom. And just like that, we were hooked!
Grace Bay is the perfect place to paddle board, kayak, sail a hobi cat, or just relax on a float. All the above are our favorites. We always get to the beach by no later than 9:00 AM and stay until 5:00 or 6 in the afternoon. We make the most of our days and fit in every activity possible.
The majority of resorts are in the Grace Bay area. Most resorts have paddle boards, floats, kayaks, and snorkel equipment free of charge. All you need to do is just check it out at the desk. How great is that?
We do suggest that you take your own float. If you are like us, you may not want to ever give it up. If you have your own, you do not have to share.
The fact is, Grace Bay Beach is pretty amazing. If you are looking for a great beach with picturesque views..then you much go! You will have the time of your life.
You will have the same ah-ha moments that we have every time our feet hit the sand. You MUST plan a vacation to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Remember, stay on Grace Bay Beach.
