Dream Turks and Caicos began in 2016 because of my love for Turks and Caicos. I wanted an outlet to talk about my experiences on this wonderful island. After visiting and posting pics on Facebook like we all do…I had so many people asking questions. People saw the pics of the crystal clear water and well…they wanted to know more. They wanted to know…where is Turks and Caicos anyway…where do you stay…do they have good food…is it expensive…and so on. After getting constant questions…I thought…I should start a blog. Over a year later…here I am.
I am a 30 year old wife and pup parent to our Maltese Lily. I am married to the best husband in the world (he made me say that…ha…but really he is). My husband and I went to school together and started dating when we were 15 and the rest is history. We share a love for traveling, cooking, gardening, and trying new things.
Summer and fall are my favorite seasons because of the warm weather and my love for being outdoors. On any given day (if it is warm) you will find my husband and I outdoors doing anything from working in the garden to working in yard. At night, you will find us in the kitchen cooking and taking turns playing songs on You Tube. We both have a love for cooking and trying new food. You should always ditch the chain and go for the local…they just have better food.
We just built a new house- which I refer to as my dream home. This is the home we built and want to grow old in. It is nothing over the top but it is our dream home. I am the nerd who spent the past 8 years working on this house plan so it would be perfect and also other re-designing other house plans for fun.
We live to travel…we have visited many places with Turks and Caicos being our favorite…obviously!! Traveling is the best therapy and specifically the beach. I am a firm believer that you should choose to travel over buying that new couch that you probably do not need or that new whatever. If you have to choose between a material thing or a vacation…choose the vacation…the memories will last forever and that couch will be replaced in a couple of years. If you can do both…good for you!
My best memories are from vacations with our family and friends. Life slows down on vacation and you can really enjoy each other and not worry about all the distractions we have in everyday life.
Anyway…I hope that you enjoy my travel tips from our travels to Turks and Caicos…oh and the other stuff in between.
Mississippi is our home…Turks and Caicos is our “place.”
